There have been some complaints of framerate and performance
Much of this is due to options in Battlefield 1942 sound
configuration being set too high.
Some of these problems have been fixed in 1.2 and should increase
performance and frame rate, but there are a few things in the
sound options that can be also be done to increase performance.
If you experience any performance problems while playing
Battlefield 1942 we urge you to configure the sound detail
settings to low which does not affect the quality of the
sound at all, with no higher than 22 kHz and no more than
SoundBlaster Live 5.1 users may experience performance issues when
hardware acceleration is enabled. This issue will be addressed in
