Tera 100 Applying Patch Stuck

If your patch progress bar is stuck on Applying Patch, please give it at least 5 minutes. It is likely that there is activity occurring that is not registering on the progress bar. If the progress does not begin to move after 5 minutes, close the launcher completely and reopen it.

Any modifications to the game files can cause this issue. If you have made any modifications to your game files you will need to replace the unmodified files or re-patch.

If this issue continues, perform the following steps:

Verify Your TERA Folder Is Not Read Only

To install and patch TERA you must be able to write to the game installation folder. If you are still unable to complete the patching process after running the launcher as an administrator, follow the steps below:

Navigate to the TERA folder on your hard drive, which is typically located at C: - Program Files x86 - TERA.

Right Click on the TERA folder and select properties.

Uncheck the Read-Only box and click apply.

Make sure Apply changes to this folder, subfolders and files is selected.

Click Okay, and then Okay again.

Run The Launcher In Windowed Or Debug Mode

If you are still unable to patch, run the launcher in debug or windowed mode. This will gather information about precisely which file is blocking the patch from completing.

If you are unfamiliar with advanced troubleshooting you will want to run the launcher in debug mode and send the files to customer support for assistance.

If you are familiar with advanced troubleshooting you can run the launcher in windowed mode by following the steps below:

Click on your Start Menu or Windows Icon

For Windows Vista 7 type in CMD and press Enter on your keyboard.

For Window XP click on Run and type CMD and press Enter on your keyboard.

In the command prompt you will need to navigate to your TERA Folder. To do this type in cd without the quotation marks and press enter. This will show just C: _ on the command line.

Now type in cd Program File x86 TERA and hit enter.

Finally, type tera-launcher. exe /window and hit enter. Please note that there is a space after tera-launcher before. exe.

If the you notice that a file has an error, you should navigate to the location of that file. If you notice the file is there, right click on it and go to properties. In properties verify that the file is not set as read only.

If you are still unable to complete the patch, then you may need to delete your game.version file and re-install the game.

Remove Your EN.version And Launcher.version Files

In your TERA game installation folder, locate the EN.version file and any Launcher.version files. Remove these files, and then re-launch the TERA Launcher. Allow the launcher to re-download these files, and the patch should complete.

If you have removed, modified, or deleted any video or game files you will need to re-patch TERA by deleting your game.version file:

Right Click on your TERA Launcher shortcut

Click Open File Location. This will open the exact folder where TERA is installed.

Right Click on your game.version file and click Delete

Tera online download stuck. This time it stuck at Applying Patch 0 , i tryed repair and i unistalled some files for force it to start download again.

Ok, first off let me start by saying that the team behind technical support should be FIRED for not doing their job.

This is my fix of the problem:

I have tried the /window solution, i have modified the extension name, tampered with intro files and extracted the rar. file named: pgc_v2_21to27 with corruption error to no avail.

2 things: - oddly enough the game was patching itself

- before last patch the game was 59 Gb, now it has 30,9 Gb

2. Let tera patch itself. That means retrieving manifest, d/loading patch, applying patch and so on;

3. WHEN the patch get s stuck, either at 0 or at 100, or at 98, 67 whatever, or with 0,00 kB/s, wait about 5 min to be sure the patch is actually stuck, then close the launcher;

4. Reopen the tera-launcher and repeat the steps above.

I know you may have done all that but this is where the revelation comes:

After the first time you patched and after it got stuck and you closed the launcher, got to TERA directory. In my case is d: Games Tera. There you will find a folder with a name similar to this: pgc_v2_-20to21.zip. Don t extract, don t anything. Repeat patching protocol described above, and after you get stuck AGAIN and you close the launcher, reopen TERA folder. The folder s name will be different, in my case: pgc_v2_-21to27.zip. This is the only way to know the launcher is actually patching.I have not followed all patching progress, but the patch folder BEFORE the final patch had the name pgc_v2_-40to41.zip.

I have repeated this process roughly 10 times for a total of 5 hours, at speeds of 1.3 MB/s. Yea, it s a lot and you may get bored but it worked eventually. So, to sum it all up:

Comfirming, that that s the way i ve patched TERA when i installed it. That s the way my friends were patching aswell.

Fix the launcher if you want new players to play the game.

I was going to try Tera but im giving up I had to download for 1 and a half hours and the applying patch took 1 and a half hour thats 3 hours wasted of my time for a game that doen t even work.

You clearly did not read my post. The launcher appears to patch like one patch/file at a time. My patching time was 5 hours. And the patch before the last was 40to41, so clearly you weren t paying attention. Try harder.

I hae tried your way, but it doesnt work, the patch file 1to42 file is corrupt. i tried your methd and it didnt wor since it started patching but smewhere along the way at like 23-30 done it gave me the source file corrupt error. when i restarted the launcher and i looked at the folder name, it was the same.

i have downloaded the patch file manually direct from the GF servers and got the same result.

Also tried launcher patching 4 times but the same problem persists which makes me think that the patch file itself is corrupt.

tryed everything people wrote on forums and nothing worked..i was playing game 2 months ago and now i bought new computer,downloaded launcher and started downloading game. it was all good until patches came, like people say i also get stuck on lets say 30 and it says that the file is corrupt or source is not good.

i deleted that EN file like most people said that it will help but it didnt, only thing it does when i delete it,launcher wont start.

my internet is slow,456kb/s and iv weasted 3 days of patching and repatching, googling problems and stuff and it just wont work,so if there is someone that knows how to fix it for sure please contact me or something i really wanna play it..thx

if u stuck un applying patch, try this sounds dumb but i worked for me

-Disconnect ur PC from the Internet, close connection pull out the plug or whatever

open Tera-Launcher shortcut on your Desktop. Add /debug /window to x:/program files/TERA/TeraLauncher.exe line.

Let it patch and check where the file error is.

Ok, the game patched today so if you look in your tera folder-client folder, the patch version should be 46to47. At least this is it for me. Regarding the solution not working, i really don t know what to say. When i patched today, of course it didn t work from the start so i had to close/reopen launcher, and also pause/unpause, but eventually it worked. Good luck.

I wonder if it is faster if we unninstall the game and re-download it again from scratch

I have this problem with the game, i installed the game again but i have annoying pronlem, i log in with launcher and play game ok until working, but when i see the server selection screen and i want to enter some server the Enter Server button doesn t work and do it anything :/ can you help me pls. thx all

Ok guys, I was patching my launcher with the /window command, when it halted with an error. I was missing some intro video files I had previously renamed them so they don t nag each time I run the game. So I went ahead and renamed all the intro files back to their original names.

After that, the launcher made all the updates really, REALLY fast and I m already inside the game now.

But I haven t noticed big much of a change apart from the valentines context loading screens. What did they change in the launcher anyway to justify so much of a mess.

It has been a few hours since i have been dealing with this problem, searching for various solutions.

Been trying to get this game patched for over 24 hours doing everything I can possibly can to patch the game, updated the NA client without hassle in less than hour but Gameforge one has to be special as always with their games.

I had all these kind of problems until I moved the whole of the Tera folder out of the x86 Program Files folder to the route directory on the main drive. The only other issue you get is that the progress bar does not reflect what is actually happening with the install. If you stop the process and come back in you will see the actual progress. Just that some of the updating is using memory processor power and you can t hear the hd churning away and it seems to stop the progress bar from working. Mine stays on 0 generally but never bothers me cus I can hear the hard drive doing its stuff.

PS That was my solution. Doing the same is your risk. Its just that I think the virus checker is at fault and keeps stopping processes that Windows needs to validate from that folder. Outside of the folder and it seems to work without fault.

My issues before I moved the Tera folder were patching issues, failing to download manifest and the dreaded grey play button and then the inactive play button. The launcher just wouldn t work. Does now and has done since I moved the folder a few months ago. Windows 7 bytheway.

PS That guy that had the server issue, I can never change servers after I have started playing the game. I have to come out of the game completely and then restart and go to the server from the loading process. Sadly if I actually play a character and then try to change servers the button does not work. Hasn t ever.

Try repairing your files after downloading till it gets stuck.

Can anyone upload the intro files please. I can t find my files.
